Stansted Murder Trial: Brett Rogers found guilty

Brett Rogers has been found guilty of murdering his mother and her friend.

The bodies of Gillian Phillips, 54, and her friend David Oakes, 60, of Mountfitchet Road, Stansted, were found at Ms Phillips’ home in Bentfield Gardens on July 22 last year.

Rogers denied murder but was found guilty at Chelmsford Crown Court this morning (May 13).

He will be sentenced at 2pm today.
