Facing a flurry of snow, rail enthusiasts and half termers were spotted queuing up for the town’s annual model railway exhibition this weekend.
More than 500 people attended the event at the United Reformed Church and Salvation Army Church Halls on Abbey Lane on Saturday.
Some exhibitors had travelled up to 75 miles to be at the event, which showcased ten model railway layouts, a modelling demonstration and four traders.
Those thirsty from train gazing could also track down delicious cake and refreshments, put on by members of the United Reformed Church.
New members are always welcome at Saffron Walden Model Railway Club, which meets on Tuesday evenings. Contact treasurer Julian Nettle on 01799 521029 for more information.
