Saffron Walden’s wealth of clubs, societies and groups will get their chance in the limelight at the ever-popular Societies Showcase.
The event, organised by the Saffron Walden Initiative, returns to the town hall on Saturday, June 7.
It attracts many people the town who can learn about the variety of activities and interests catered for, and to enquire about membership. Groups such as Bridge End Gardens regularly attract members and volunteers through the event.
This year the organisers are interested in showcasing opportunities for youth and are appealing to organisers of clubs such as cadets and scouts or summer activity schemes to take a table.
Plans are in hand to improve advance publicity, and provide incentives for visitors. The organisers also welcome societies running activities in parallel with showcase which will help us attract visitors.
If you help run a society which would like to tell people about your interests and sign up new members, more information and a booking form are available from Ginny Eley, ginnyeley@hotmail.com or 01799 523477.
