Glitter balls sparkled and Dame Bradbury’s School Theatre echoed to the sound of the Cha Cha Cha as pupils took to the floor for ‘Strictly Dame B’s’.
Under the careful instruction of international dance champion Natalia Richardson, children from Years 4, 5 and 6 learned a sequence of steps during two practice sessions in the afternoon. The children then came together for an exciting dance-off.
Year 6 pupils Poppy Evans and Tom West were judged to be the winners, but it was a difficult decision as all of the children demonstrated energy, rhythm and concentration.
PTA Chair Jules Morgan, who organised the event, said: “Strictly Dame B’s has been more popular than ever this year. It is lovely to see the boys and girls working together so well and having a great time learning something new.”
