Musicians descended on Jubilee Gardens on May 20 for a summertime musical extravaganza.
The event, organised by Uttlesford Citizens Advice, saw five hours of enchanting singing and playing, with passers-by serenaded by the likes of Clarinet Caprice, Saffron Walden County High School’s jazz band, and Alice Walker.
Musicians Ben Smith and Jo Eden also took to the bandstand, and shoppers were also tempted in by an array of homemade cakes and ice cream on offer.
The day was held in aid of the Citizen’s Advice branch, which provides a lifeline for some 3,000 people each year, helping out with money problems, benefit entitlements, housing and employment.
A spokesman said: “Uttlesford Citizens Advice wishes to thank the public for giving £565 towards its services.
“They are also grateful to Hibbs & Walsh, Waitrose and Saffron Ice Cream for helping to cover the costs for this event.”
