ENTHUSIASTIC people from Thaxted threw some interesting shapes on the dance floor at the ninth annual Sugar Beet weekend.
The Thaxted Country Dance Club celebrated a successful sugar beet harvest with live musical performances and a dance workshop.
The event began with a Ceilidh night on Friday with music provided by folk band, Housewives Choice.
On Saturday a dance workshop was held in Bolford Street Hall, with instruction from Kerry Fletcher and talented musicians Ravi Sawney and Daniel Wolverson.

In the evening a concert was performed by the talented young band, Mawkin: Causley.
Club member Mike Collins said: "It was a well attended weekend and members had the chance to dance, learn some new dance skills and to sit back and listen to folk musicians."

Plans are already underway for next year's event which will run on February 12 and 13.
