A TALENTED band will be playing up a storm in a Saffron Walden pub at 8.30pm on Friday March 5.

Five-piece group Another Storm will be live at The King's Arms on Market Hill and entry is free.

Although they are new to the current scene, Another Storm was originally formed 22 years ago as Before the Storm and achieved some success across the country.

They played more than 200 gigs between 1987 and 1991, attracting attention from record companies, producing a couple of albums and appearing on Radio sessions.

Tragedy struck when songwriter and lead guitarist Keith Winter contracted a serious illness which prevented him from playing and the band folded. Eighteen years on, Keith has now made a great recovery and his unique guitar style and playing ability have returned.

Keith contacted his fellow songwriter and lead singer, Steve Scales, and Another Storm was formed, teaming up with Alex Tsentides on bass, Dave Kendall on synths and piano and Garry Bowler on Drums.
