A school’s musical garden was brought to life with a selection of dancing teddy bears.
Year 1 children at Newport Primary School held an end of term Teddy Bears’ Picnic for parents and younger siblings as a finale to their topic learning about toys.
The class sent out invitations and in the final week of term parents, children and teddies gathered in the school’s musical garden to enjoy fortuitously beautiful spring sunshine, with parents bringing their own childhood toy with them for the occasion.
After enjoying a picnic with the toys, the children entertained their parents with a rendition of the old favourite song Teddy Bears’ Picnic, complete with a dance with their teddies.
