Teenage boy and 65-year-old man die in crash

A 14-year-old boy and a 65-year-old man died when the Hyundai Getz they were travelling in collided with an Audi A3 near Saffron Walden.

The driver of the Audi A3 is said to be in a “critical but stable” condition at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

The smash occurred at 12.40pm today (Sunday) on the A1307 near Linton at the Bartlow and Balsham junction.

Names of the deceased have not yet been released but the pair are believed to be from the Saffron Walden area.
