A 33-year-old man from Saffron Walden has been charged with criminal damage following an incident which saw a severed deer head left on a supermarket self-service checkout.
James Hyett, who is self-employed and lives in Laws Close, has been bailed to appear at Colchester Magistrates Court on Tuesday August 6.
The offence is alleged to have taken place on Tuesday June 4 at the Tesco store in Radwinter Road. Innards of the deer were also found in one of the aisles.
