The Yew Tree in Manuden has re-opened after management made a decision earlier in the year to temporarily close and recruit a new team.

The pub has a new manager and chef, Stuart Green, who has worked at some top venues in Essex and a new group events manager has been recruited to bring the village a “stylish traditional village hub, restaurant and pub”.

Guests enjoyed an afternoon of free prosecco and canapes to celebrate to re-opening of the venue.

Said owner, Dawn Hennessey: “With a brand new menu with local produce, a new gin menu including 21 national and local brands and the promise that we will ensure that the cask ales are maintained to the highest possible standard, providing the finest real ale, we are confident that we can meet the approval of the village.”

In the future, Dawn hopes they will also establish a farm shop selling locally sourced items and convenience products.
