Tractor which was stolen during raid on Dunmow depot discovered by Kent Police

A John Deere tractor which was stolen from a depot in Dunmow has been found by Kent Police.
The tractor, which belongs to Colchester-based farming supplies company P Tuckwell Ltd, was discovered by police at the Port of Dover yesterday (May 10) morning.
The green and yellow tractor is believed to have been stolen from a depot on Chelmsford Road between 11.30pm on April 27 and the early hours of April 28.
Other tractors were also ‘tampered with’, according to a post on P Tuckwell Ltd’s Facebook page, published on April 28.
In a Facebook post published today (May 11), P Tuckwell said: “A big thanks to everyone who helped us spread the word about our stolen crawler tractor. Thank you to the Kent Police for helping us bring it home.”
The Essex Police, gypsy, traveller and rural engagement team said burglars “caused damage by breaking a padlock to enter the yard”.
Essex Police southern roads policing unit described the tractor as a “big and expensive bit of kit just to go missing.”
The company’s Facebook post which publicised the incident has been shared by more than 3,400 people.
