TWO people have died and one person is still unaccounted for following a house fire in Saffron Walden this morning.
Two fire crews from Saffron Walden, and one each from Newport and Thaxted, were called to the Mill Lane property at 8.41am. A fire service spokesman said the first floor of the semi-detached house was "well alight".
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are continuing to use three hose reels and one main jet to extinguish the fire.
