Two people were taken to hospital after a three-car crash in Thaxted on Sunday (August 16).
Firefighters, from Thaxted and Dunmow, released three people who were trapped in the cars following the crash on the B184 at about 4.40pm.
The trapped people were released by 5.34pm.
The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAS) sent two ambulances and a paramedic officer to the scene and transported two patients, suffering back and neck injuries, to Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, for further treatment.
A spokesman for EEAS said the injuries were not thought to be life-threatening or serious.
