TWO men arrested on suspicion of endangering an aircraft following an incident at Stansted Airport yesterday are still with the police.
A 49-year-old man continues to receive medical treatment in hospital while the other, a 57-year-old, remains in custody at Harlow police station.
The men were arrested after a the Sri Lankan Airlines A330 airbus plane, bound for Heathrow, was diverted and landed at Stansted at 7.30pm on Friday.
Essex Police officers boarded the aircraft and arrested the two men on suspicion of endangering an aircraft. The passengers were “removed safely” said police.
Enquiries are ongoing.
