POLICE are linking two burglaries in Great Chesterford in the early hours of Saturday morning. A purse containing £10 cash and documents, a Fuji digital camera and other audio equipment worth a total of £900 was stolen from a property in Pilgrim Close aft

POLICE are linking two burglaries in Great Chesterford in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A purse containing £10 cash and documents, a Fuji digital camera and other audio equipment worth a total of £900 was stolen from a property in Pilgrim Close after burglars entered via a kitchen door.

And a radio, two DVDs and £11 cash was taken when burglars again entered through a kitchen door in The Willows.

Both incidents occurred between 1.30am and 8am.

Det Con Mick Bennett of Saffron Walden Police Station warned residents to lock their doors at night. He said: "Please do not leave premises insecure at night under any circumstances.
