An area of undergrowth in Wimbish which was alight had to be tackled by fire crews on Friday.

The fire started accidentally and affected an area measuring 50 metres by 30m in Thaxted Road.

One crew from Saffron Walden and one from Thaxted attended the incident at 5.21pm and the fire was extinguished by 6.35pm.
