The M11 has been reopened after a car was alight on the hard shoulder.
Motorists faced delays when two lanes were closed earlier today (Tuesday). The road was blocked and traffic was stationary southbound between J9, A11, Saffron Walden and J8, A120 Bishops Stortford.
Firefighters from four different crews tackled the flames. They wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.
