UPDATE: Two hospitalised in Saffron Walden High Street fight

TWO men were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in the early hours this morning following a fight in Saffron Walden.

Officers were called to the High Street at 12.45am after receieving reports of a fight involving up to 12 men.

A 20-year-old local man suffered “serious facial injuries” and is currently detained at the Cambridgeshire hospital for treatment. A 21-year-old local man was also taken to hospital but was allowed home after treatment for minor face injuries.

An area of the High Street opposite The Temeraire pub was taped off until around 10am while forensic investigations are carried out.
