Details of the total amount claimed have been listed, as well as being broken down into basic allowance, mileage and expenses incurred on approved duties.
Members also receive an extra allowance for being a group leader and taking on special responsibilities. These are also listed.
The basic allowance is an amount paid to every councillor (unless they decide not to claim it) for the performance of his or her duties. It reflects an assessment of the time required to undertake the role of a councillor.
