BUDDING athletes inspired by the Olympic Games can take part in a six-week athletic programme in Saffron Walden.
Uttlesford District Council is offering a summer Olympic athletics programme at the County High School on Friday evenings from 4.30-6pm starting on May 18, ending on June 29.
Anyone wishing to join should register at 4pm on the first week at the County High School Sports Hall. Advanced booking is essential as this programme will be offered to the first 20 athletes applying. The programme costs �40 and cheques should be made payable to Uttlesford District Council.
The programme is for Year 6 and 7 pupils and will include performance evaluation to a national framework. Head coach Brian Mackenzie, UKA Level 4 Performance Coach, will lead most sessions and grade athletes’ performance.
