SAFFRON Walden got its first taste of the Olympics buzz on Saturday when a carnival-like atmosphere descended on the town.
The start of the build-up to the historic Games was celebrated as dozens of performers from schools and community groups came together for a range of fun events and a parade of the town.
It was all part of the Essex Cultural Olympiad and marked the day the Torch Relay began its 8,000-mile journey from Land’s End.
In celebration of the monumental event, we want to round up as many of your photos as possible to post on our website.
E-mail your snaps of the occasion to editor@saffronwalden-reporter.co.uk and we’ll get uploading.
