Students across Uttlesford have today found out if they got the grades they need to secure a university place.
Among the hundreds picking up their results was Helena Romanes School head boy, Charlie Sewell, 18, from Great Bardfield, who was one of the Dunmow school’s top achievers with two A grades and two Bs.
He received an A for his Extended Project Qualification, (EPA) a dissertation on ethical issues, as well as an A in law and Bs in maths and psychology. He has a place to read law at Cardiff.
James Cross, a student at Friends’ School, Saffron Walden, will attend Harper Adams University, in Shropshire, this September to study off road vehicle design after achieving his required grades.
He said: “I’m really looking forward to getting started on the course and moving down there next month.”
