AMERICAN rockers Kings of Leon and British indie stars Kasabian will headline the 2010 Virgin Media V Festival at Hylands Park.

Kings of Leon will take to the Chelmsford stage on the Saturday, with Kasabian bringing the two-day festival to a thrilling climax on the Sunday night.

The festival takes place on August 21 and August 22, and, as usual, artists will perform on alternative days at Hylands Park and at Weston Park in Staffordshire.

Other acts confirmed to rock Hylands Park include the Stereophonics, The Kooks, David Guetta, The Prodigy, Editors, Scouting For Girls, Paul Weller and Faithless.

Also taking to the stage will be the newly-single Cheryl Cole, Florence and The Machine, Pet Shop Boys, Kate Nash, and Essex's very own Pixie Lott.

Completing an exciting line-up are the Editors, The Courteeners, Passion Pit, Paolo Nutini, Madness, Skunk Anansie, White Lies, The Temper Trap, Amy MacDonald, Newton Faulkner, Shed Seven, Paloma Faith, Plan B, Groove Armada, Mika, Goldfrapp, Chase and Status, La Roux, The Charlatans, Sugababes, Ellie Goulding and Imogen Heap.
