POLICE are linking four incidents of criminal damage that took place in Saffron Walden on Sunday.

Several cars parked in Howard

Road were struck by vandals, who caused several hundred pounds' worth of damage.

A blue Vauxhall Astra had its front and rear passenger-side doors damaged with a key, causing approximately £250 worth of damage.

A blue Peugeot 306 had its front passenger door scratched, causing around £200 damage.

A silver Kia was also scratched, causing damage estimated to cost £500 to repair.

Finally, a red Peugeot 206 suffered £175 worth of damage when its left side was scratched.

All of the incidents happened between 4pm and 6.45pm and police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact PC Gemma Nicholls on 01799 513232.
