Vandals throw paint over Saffron Walden charity shop and superglue door handle
A charity shop in Saffron Walden has been targeted by vandals who threw white paint over the store’s front window on Sunday, November 22.
The Oxfam shop in King Street also had its front door handle covered in superglue in the attack, which took place between 6am and 8am.
A letter was posted on the shop window explaining the situation to customers, it read: “We apologise for the white paint mess in front of the shop. Sunday morning someone threw white gloss there, leaving us this vandalism to clear up, and now what’s left is a permanent reminder of this sad and upsetting event.”
The manager of Oxfam did not want to comment on the incident.
