More than 200 people got the chance to see military vehicles from yesteryear in Saffron Walden last weekend.

Around 30 cars, trucks and tankers were on show at the Military Vehicle Show, which was held on the common on Sunday (September 11).

Visitors also enjoyed various stalls, a bouncy castle and food and drink, with all money raised going to the Royal British Legion.

Organiser Roger Abbott said: “The event is getting bigger and we had a good turn-out with some nice vehicles for people to see.

“The Newport Scouts did the catering and it was a good day. The ration cards where people can collect a minimum of 10 stamps by visiting shops will run until the end of the month, when a winner will be drawn for a birds eye view of Saffron Walden for three people.”
