VOLUNTEERS are wanted for Bark the Park 2009 in Whittlesford tomorrow (Saturday March 21).
From 10.30am, local children, mums, dads and volunteers will help to lay new bark chips as a safety surface in the village playground.
It has taken two years of fundraising by Whittlesford Parish Council to refurbish and put in new play area equipment and tidy up the play area.
The money has been raised locally through a Safari supper, as well as grants from WREN, South Cambridgeshire District Council, the parish council, the Cambridge water board and the Lawn Trust.
To join in with laying the bark chips in the play area, call parish council chairman Paul Eccleston on 01223 832028, or just turn up.
