The Royal British Legion were given a helping hand with their poppy appeal.
Thirty-five partners from Waitrose in Saffron Walden collected outside the Hill Street store for five days earlier this month. They covered each day from 9am to 5pm in hour shifts with some partners giving their own time to help.
Mel Maycock, from Waitrose, said: “The feedback from customers was extreamly positive and many partners expressed how much they enjoyed taking part.”
Marion and Robert Curran, from the RBL, have expressed their thanks to the branch, saying: “The help given by Waitrose partners has been invaluable as we were a little short on volunteers this year.”
