FOLLOWING its public launch on in May, the Walden in Transition Energy Group held another information and sign-up stall outside the library on Saturday.
Since the Low Carbon Affiliation Scheme was launched, eight people have switched to Green Energy UK’s 100 per cent renewable electricity, helping to reduce Saffron Walden’s carbon footprint.
When two more people sign-up, Walden in Transition will start to receive a ‘rebate’ from Green Energy, which will enable it to undertake further projects to reduce Saffron Walden’s carbon dioxide emissions and to enhance its energy security.
