The Wimbish Military Wives Choir is looking for a new musical director to continue the group’s development.
Current musical director Lisa Peretti is moving on to pastures new, and the choir is looking for someone who can commit to helping the group move forward. The choir, which is made up of wives from Carver Barracks, has between 12 and 20 members, with the numbers fluctuating due to the the nature of military life.
They have performed at a variety of events in the area in recent years, including the Saffron Walden Christmas lights switch-on, Carver Barracks open days and British Legion carol services.
The choir also recorded tracks on the national Military Wives Choir’s Home for Christmas album, which was released in November last year.
The group meet weekly to rehearse and are open to singing new songs from different genres and styles.
