THE chance to take part in the biggest party in Saffron Walden is up for grabs thanks to a fantastic competition from the Reporter.
The Saffron Walden Round Table Carnival will be kicking off with a Hollywood-themed procession, involving more than 40 floats, on Saturday July 5.
The Reporter is offering one lucky reader the chance to win the use of a truck, for their school, club or organisation, to turn into a colourful float fit for the procession.
To enter just send us a description or a picture of your idea for a Hollywood-themed float by Tuesday June 17. The winning entry will also receive £500 to help them create their winning design.
All entries should be delivered by post or by hand to The Saffron Walden Reporter, 54 High Street, Saffron Walden, Essex, CB10 1EE.

The Saffron Walden Round Table Carnival is only weeks away, but the warm-up to the big event has already started.
The first heat for the annual Battle of the Bands competition was held in Saffron Walden Town Hall, Market Square, on Tuesday (June 3) night.
Carnival chairman Eamon McCourt said: "This is a community-based Carnival event to showcase local talent. Often the bands are schoolchildren and this could be their first break to play on a stage to a large audience.
"The incentive for the winner is studio time and the chance to gig at a Carnival marquee event supporting one of our headline acts."
The first musical showdown, at the event being organised by local studio Threecircles Audio, featured four acts: Roland, The Evolution Band, Doctor Teeth and the Electric Surprise, and Alice Band.
The second heat will take place on Tuesday June 10 and the third on Tuesday June 17. The final, which will see the winners of each heat battle it out for the coveted prize, will be held on Friday June 27. All heats and the final will start at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £4.50 for the heats and £5 for the final. They can be purchased in advance from the Carnival Caravan which is located in the Market Square and open from 10am to 4pm every Tuesday and Saturday, or on the door.
