Three robbers are being sought by police after an incident at a home in Saffron Walden High Street.

Three men approached residents at the address claiming to be from a cleaning company.

One then forced his way into the home, followed by the others.

They stole two rope chain gold necklaces – one with a flower pendant and one with a ‘U’ shape pendant – which the victims were wearing.

The suspects ran off when one of the victims managed to raise the alarm.

The incident happened at around 4.40pm on Wednesday, October 19.

One suspect is described as white, of a slim build, with dark hair and in his late teens.

He was wearing a black baseball cap, dark clothing and was talking to the other suspects on a walkie talkie, which was on his jacket.

The second man had slightly darker skin and was aged in his early 30s. He wore a baseball cap and dark clothing.

The third male is described as being Eastern European, also in his early 30s, and wearing a baseball cap and dressed in black clothing.

Anyone with information about these men, or who has been offered items of jewellery matching those described and are suspicious where they have come from, should contact Pc Red Leeson at Braintree CID on 101.
