Woman denies jogger death charges

A WOMAN, who was charged with careless driving after she was involved in a car crash which killed a Newport jogger, has appeared in court. Amy Cook, 24, from Wendens Ambo, pleaded not guilty to the charges at Harlow Magistrates Court on Tuesday July 1. H

A WOMAN, who was charged with careless driving after she was involved in a car crash which killed a Newport jogger, has appeared in court.

Amy Cook, 24, from Wendens Ambo, pleaded not guilty to the charges at Harlow Magistrates' Court on Tuesday July 1.

Her case has been adjourned until Tuesday August 5.

Sixty-year-old Peter Ramsdale, from Widdington, was killed by a car when he was out jogging on the London Road, from Newport to Quendon, on August 19.

Retired communications engineer, Mr Ramsdale, who was a father of two, died of multiple injuries.

An inquest into his death ruled that he died as the result of an accident.
