A woman has died after collapsing in Newport this morning (Thursday).
Herts Air Ambulance paramedics battled to save the woman, believed to be in her 50s, but she was pronounced dead at the scene in Belmont Hill shortly before 11am.
A community first responder was also in attendance along with the air ambulance, which landed at Newport Free Grammar School, and an ambulance officer.
A spokesman from the East of England Ambulance Service said: “Despite the best efforts of all the medics involved, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Essex Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
