A FUN-FILLED play aimed at promoting inclusive performing arts is being held in Saffron Walden.
A Groovee Afternoon, created by local performing arts group Groovee Group, has something for everyone, including a dance off, sing-alongs and variety performances.
The event is inspired by the film Somewhere over the Rainbow, which has the message to 'follow your dreams', and requires a lot of audience participation.
Local schools have also been invited to parade their artwork to compliment the play.
A Groovee Group spokesman said: "We focus on people's ability to participate in anyway they can.
"We hope to bring the community together and create an understanding that everyone is equal and that everyone's contribution should be valued.
"It would be great if representatives from local clubs and organisations could come along to see our inspiring work."
Groovee Group is made up of four performing arts enthusiasts who have all helped advertise and sell tickets to cover the costs of the event.
Many local businesses have also lent their support, while the group has sought to promote its members through circulars, produced by Copycats.
'A Groovee Afternoon' takes place at the United Reformed Church in Abbey Lane, on Friday July 18 from 1pm to 4.30pm.
Tickets are 5, free for children under-12, and are available from the Tourist Information Centre in Market Square.
