YOUNGSTERS were out in force last week urging motorists to slow down through their village.
Armed with clipboards and speeding devices, pupils from Felsted Primary School noted drivers’ speeds and were ready to question anyone breaking the 30mph limit.
Pc Debi Gray Farrer said: “Exercises like this help to address speeding in villages.
“The children then spread the message to their parents and the residents see the pupils out, so they know Essex Police is tackling the issue.
“It also gives the children responsibility over a local issue.”
