A MEAL fit for Greek gods was cooked up by youngsters from Newport Primary School on Friday.
Year 5 students who have been studying Ancient Greece got a taste for the subject by following some traditional recipes.
More than 30 people including parents and grandparents turned up to share in the banquet fit for gods, philosophers and poets.
Pupil Edward Cameron said: "We had such fun preparing and serving the food to our parents, grandparents and school governors. It really helped us to think about what the Ancient Greeks would have sat down and had to eat every day."
