Essex: slow-moving vehicles can be such a danger

THANK you for highlighting the problem of farm machinery and speed through small villages (‘Danger road alert’).

THANK you for highlighting the problem of farm machinery and speed through small villages (‘Danger road alert’).

I live in Great Sampford and all through the harvest time the tractors are travelling far to fast.

I would like to highlight the fact that they are speeding past our primary school and if a child stepped out they would not stand a chance.

They are also travelling at speed on the wrong side of the road, the roads have a lot of blind corners and anything travelling in the opposite direction are in danger of ending up either crushed or in the ditch as I nearly found out recently.

Something needs to be done before there is an accident; the speed limit through Sampford is 30mph.
