MUCH has been written about the three large wheelie bins, which presumably will belong to the council, who has no right to litter our freehold property if we are unwilling to house them.

If these bins are a gift to us from the council and we don't want them, we should refuse them. We pay for a refuse collection service within our council tax, so can expect that to continue without being dictated to about storing unsightly, cumbersome bins.

We are happy with our refuse system as it is. We recycle all we can in the green and black bins, neatly kept in our garage.

We generate about three Tesco bags of dustbin rubbish, so have no need for three great big bins to litter our property.
