WHAT are they doing to our beautiful Britain? I refer to that anti-rural directive from central Government in London to build many thousands more houses in Uttlesford, and UDC giving their approval for an out-of-town new retail centre to be situated at Thaxted Road.

Also Saffron Walden Town Council seems determined to ban motor vehicles in the Market Square.

Saffron Walden is the ideal location for shoppers and the Market Square is the very heart of this small rural market town and Uttlesford's car-owning shoppers should be allowed free access into the heart of the town for the purpose of a visit to the nearby shops.
