Regarding Sally's poem about Tesco's smelly drain (published in the Reporter on Thursday February 21).

Maybe she could have chosen her words a little more carefully, but I was saddened to read she had offended people, especially Christians. It is wrong to take the Lord's name in vain, but I'm sure it was not her intention to offend.

She was just making a point, and someone needed to.

I have to say it was pretty awful as stinks go. It is not good to have a stink like that around a food store and it put me off shopping there.

As for TV violence, well, the violence bothers me, but if anyone is outrageous I try to remember that these are people who give their time to raising money for the very needy and underprivileged people.

So I guess all us Christians need to do, in my view, is be nice and treat people well as we go about our daily business. And yes Sally I did smile.
