I WOULD like to thank the men of Carver Barracks who came to my aid on the morning of Monday January 29 when my car skidded on the road at Elder Street, Wimbish and rolled into a ditch.

Thanks also to the crew of the air ambulance, the fire brigade and police - and also to my friends and neighbours. I know I have had a very lucky escape, and feel doubly lucky to live in a town where help is so forthcoming.
