It was another busy weekend for members of Saffron Striders as they travelled far and wide.
The extremely popular Town & Gown 10k was held in Cambridge, circling the colleges and town centre, with 13 Striders taking part.
Nick White was second in his age group and there were PBs for David Raimondo, Marco Arcidiacano and Rebecca White who was part of the Essex team, helping them to second place.
It was also completed by several of this year’s couch to 5k graduates, notably Claire Crommie, Rich Viney and Helen Sears who all said that they very much enjoyed the event.
A much longer event was completed by Fliss Tournant who took part in the Ladybower 50k Trail race in the Peak District.
She finished as third lady overall in the very challenging course that included a total height climbed of 1,500m.
One week earlier it was the Lakes that provided the arena for Andrew Armour finish the Lakes in a Day, a 50-mile gruelling tour with a total climb of 4,000m.
