Saffron Striders are gearing up for the London Marathon in aid of three local charities.
Guy Treymeyne will be running for Get Kids Going, while Alistair Cooke is representing Saffron Sight.
Fiona Halls will also be tackling the 26.2-mile course around the capital in aid of Luna Animal Rescue.
Members were in action at the weekend, with Striders coming away with Essex county medals in the women’s V35 category at the Harwich 5k road relays.
Meanwhile, Andrew Mynott was second at the St Clair Hospice 10k in Harlow, as Darren Barnes, Steven McNicholas, Matt Billis, Chris Outtersides and Ian Scott all made the long trip north to compete at the Manchester Marathon.
