Saffron Striders were out in force at the annual Stebbing 10-mile road race on Sunday.

The event doubles up as an Essex Championship event, with county medals and regional awards up for grabs.

And the women were the stars of the show for Striders, as Fiona Halls, Marianne Taylor and Fliss Tournant combined to claim gold medals in their team event.

Halls also added bronze in her age group, while Naylor struck silver in her category.

Striders Ian MacDougal was first over the line for the club in an impressive 63 minutes four seconds, as David Raimondo produced a personal best of 66.27.
