Walden Tri members were out in force at the Bedford duathlon on Sunday.

A qualifying event for the Great Britain team for the World Championships in Denmark in July, it included a 5k run, 20k bike ride and 2.5k run.

And Jack Stanton-Stock, 15, finished fifth overall and first in his age category after a superb display.

Peter Cooke, 17, was just a minute and a half behind and inside the top 12, while Matt Bainbridge was third in the 35-39 group.

Michael Buchallet, Andy Briggs and Craig Dyce worked well together during the bike section to finish within 20 seconds of each other, placing fourth, eighth and third in their respective age categories.

Charlie Stanton-Stock took six minutes off his best time for the event, setting a 5k run best, as Helena Dyce, 16, took third in the women’s event and was second in her group.

Georgina Dunlop improved her 2017 time by over five minutes for third in her category with Abbie Kerr and Sasha Vail fourth and seventh in theirs.

And with one more qualifying race to come, Walden could have up to 10 GB representatives in Denmark later this summer.
