Bowls: Turpin’s ladies get the better of Clacton

IT was a busy week of bowling at Turpin’s, with many rounds played in the various club championship.

Turpin’s ladies played Clacton IBC in the Essex County Ladies IBA League and enjoyed home and away victories of 26-14 and 25-15 respectively – overall match score 51-29.

In the Essex County Over 60s Inter Club League, both the A and B side were involved in home and away matches.

The A sides, versus Colchester, lost 12-16 and 15-20 for an overall match score, 27-36; the B side won 21-14 at home but 12-26 away as they slipped to an overall match score of 36-40.
