SAFFRON Walden Golf Club and the Round Table have announced a strategic long-term partnership that will see the Carnival Golf Day return to the town.

Teams will compete for the Carnival 582 Cup on Friday June 3, 2011 and with a limited number of teams available it is recommended that places are secured quickly to avoid disappointment.

The day has a full programme, including an appearance by the World Trick Shot Champion and an opportunity to win a brand new car with a hole in one.

General Manager at the golf club Stephanie Standen described the new partnership as “a fantastic opportunity for the club to showcase our course and facilities at such a prestigious event, whilst supporting the Carnival and everything it stands for”.

Event’s organiser for Carnival Nick Head added: “I am delighted that the event was once again being held locally and that the foundations were now in place to enable the Carnival 582 Cup to be held at the Club in every Carnival year.”

The golf day is being sponsored by Tees Solicitors who continue their long standing support of Round Table events.

Partner at Tees Paul Penney said: “We welcomed the opportunity to support the hard work and efforts of the Round Table as they continue to consistently deliver an ever improving Carnival for the town and that the golf day would be no exception.”

The cost of entering the competition is £200 per team of four and all enquiries should be sent to nick@8dayweekend.co.uk
