The club had a visit from Essex’s Graham Pryke, who brought the County Championship trophy along for children to have their photos taken with.

Spokesman Ed Welch said: “We also had a visit from the founder of our designated charity, Toms Trust, Deborah Mitchell.

“Tom’s Trust is dedicated to providing the Clinical Psychology provision for children with brain tumours within complete rehabilitation services. We are very proud to be associated with this fantastic charity.”

Wenden has two senior teams who play T20 on a Wednesday but is dominated by its junior section which focuses on children under-12.
